The fuck do I care if you can't hold onto your bloke

A couple of days ago I let go of the last of my alliance with the fellow female. You know how we're supposed to all watch each other's boyfriends and make sure they're not cheating on anyone, and then we're supposed to not get a friend's boyfriend get all hot and bothered by ourselves, right? I've half-heartedly played along with that expectation, although I've never watched a guy for a stranger, I've been in my friend's corner, to an extent, at least. Friend, someone I know or whatever.

I decided I won't have any more friends that need favors like that.

I don't think I want female friends, period, because, well, they're trouble. I've never been predatorial about guys and I never throw myself at them, but even though that's the case, I've caused my fair share of "domestics", as I call them, the occasional slap on the cheek after I walk by and the like. I think I've caused a gay couple to break up once, two guys, that is. The chilling reception I got from the other one while the other one was absent, while the absent one got lost staring into my eyes the day before told a semi-telling tale... Anyway... I decided I won't care anymore. Won't avoid eye contact, that is, or push men away if they want to get closer... If I'm interested, that is. No more favors. If your guy wants me over you, that's my guy from there on in, and you're the one holding onto another woman's man, not me.

Those are my new game rules.
