... it was right when the "who's online" list was refreshing itself *the first time* after it loaded
Person I was chatting with was typing and then it became "this person is unavailable" and my messages to her were no longer getting-through

I admit that sometimes, when I've been trading messages with someone online and it seems the interest is mutual, if I suddenly lose interest then I just don't send a reply to the latest message ... kind of interesting to me, then, that I never receive a follow-up message from her a few days later, if even to ask if I'm ok
On the flip side, if someone has really captured my interest and she hasn't replied in more than a few days, I'll generally send another message asking how things've been, a bit of a reminder that I'm still around and an easy way for her to respond & we can either pick-up where we left-off or she can state she's no longer interested or maybe give a hint of what's going-on

How often should one strive to update their photos here? How varied should the shots be?
In general, I think a photo here is pretty useless if it's more than about a year old, just because so much can change in a year ... which really puts-into question the profiles where all of the photos are > 5 years old
I'm more of a "whole package" guy so so I tend to be more cautious if a profile has (for example) 8 pictures and all are from the same angle to show the same close-up ... I mean, really?

I don't pay any attention to blank profiles ... I just think that a blank profile advertises to the world "hey! I can't think of anything to say about myself! I'm pretty boring!" and as I'm not a dentist, I don't want to be pulling teeth to learn at least *one thing* about you
