Where did the time go?

Someone else from my area posted a blog about summer being over and he hoped that we all had a good and safe summer.

Mine came and went so fast, I feel sad I didn't have time to actually enjoy it.

I had a couple of really big projects that took up my summer. They were positive things for my future, so not a negative really.

I also actually had a lot of time off work, which is unusual, but spent most of it working on my projects.

I always meant to go do more fun, sumer things, and am now sad that sumer has all but come to an end.

I suppose I can have fun this fall and winter...maybe some weekend get aways or some event somewhere. Any ideas?

Now I am sad. Where did the time go?

DO YOU BELIEVE....

Do you believe....

That knowing about your significant others past and relationships (not physical intimate details) or even stories about growing up is a good thing to know? That by knowing about the others persons past it gives you an understanding of how and why they are the person they are today. That those experiences have made them who they are today.

Or...

Do you NOT want to know any details at all about a persons past? That it is in the past, you can't change it anyway, so who cares.

Over the years I have met people on both sides of the fence so to speak and wonder if most people fall into one category or the other.

Just wondering...

IS ROMANCE DEAD?

I AM WONDERING IF ROMANCE STILL EXISTS? DO WOMEN STILL LOVE TO BE TREATED LIKE ROAYALTY AND BE PAMPERED BY HER SUITOR? DO MEN STILL WANT TO BUY HIS DATE FLOWERS, HOLD HER HAND, OPEN CAR DOORS, ETC. DO MEN ENJOY BEING TREATED EQUALLY WITH SMALL ROMANTIC THINGS OR GIFTS?

I AM VERY MUCH OLD SCHOOL IN MY WANTS AND DESIRES REGARDING ROMANCE. I FOR ONE STILL WANT TO BE SWEPT OFF MY FEET. AND IT DOES'T MEAN THAT I HAVE TO HAVE GIFTS OR BE TAKEN TO EXPENSIVE PLACES. ONE FLOWER MEANS AS MUCH TO ME AS A DOZEN. HOLDING HANDS AND STOLEN KISSES MEAN MORE THEN A GOOD NIGHT KISS AT THE DOOR. I ENJOY LONG INTIMATE CONVERSATIONS OR EVEN LETTERS, AND THAT MEANS FAR MORE TO ME THEN SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS BUT HAS VERY LITTLE TO SAY.

DATING SEEMS TO HAVE CHANGED SO MUCH AND SOME OF THE THINGS THAT HAS BROUGHT COUPLES INTIMATELY CLOSER TOGETHER NOW SEEM ALMOST NONEXISTANT.

COUPLES NOW JUMP INTO BED WITHOUT ANY OR VERY LITTLE CHEMISTRY THAT IT IS NOT SUPRISING WE HAVE SUCH A HIGH DIVORCE RATE.

DO I NEED TO GIVE UP HOPE THAT I WILL EVER BE TRULY ROMANCED OR SWEPT OFF MY FEET? OR DO I NEED TO CHNAGE MY WAY OF THINKING TO....IF I GUY WANTS TO SLEEP WITH ME ON THE FIRST DATE...THAT HE REALLY LIKES ME? THAT STILL SEEMS TOO FAR FETCHED FOR ME TO BELIEVE.

GUYS...GALS...WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

EROTIC STORY...LETS WRITE ONE TOGETHER

Since we all seem to like to read erotic stories, but not share the ones we send them to, let's write one together. I will write the beginning, or first chapter, which will be the setting of our story. Then any member here can write the next chapter and so on.

The rules...I will be the editor, since it is on my blog. If it is poorly written or does not carry on with the story line from the previous chapter, then I retain the right or option to delete it. If deleted, you may try again, but please...lets write this to be a quality story.

Another rule...you may write as many chapters as you wish at any length, but there must be at least two chapters since your last post. If not, I retain the right or option to delete it!

Next rule...one entire chapter cannot be the entire story. That's why we are writing it together...defeats the purpose.

Last rule...Lets be creative and HAVE FUN!!!
And remember...I retain the right and option to delete any posting with good reason only. I am fair...you will see. PLEASE use spell check.

Ok...here goes....

TITLE:

CHANCE MEETING IN THE PARK

HANNAH IS A VERY BUSY WOMAN. SHE WORKS A DEMANDING SOMETIMES VERY STRESSFUL PROFESSIONAL JOB. SHE ALSO WORKS A LOT OF OVERTIME WHEN IT IS REQUIRED. BUT SHE WAS NO STRANGER TO HARD WORK, AS SHE GREW UP ON A FARM WHERE THERE WAS NEVER AN END TO THE WORK LOAD. BUT IN THE END IT TAUGHT HER A VALUABLE LESSON, THAT BY WORKING HARD AND STRIVING FOR YOUR GOALS, YOU TRULY CAN HAVE IT ALL.

AND FOR THE MOST PART, HANNAH DID HAVE EVERYTHING IN LIFE THAT SHE WANTED UP UNTIL THIS POINT. NOT WITHOUT SOME HARD WORK AND SACRIFICE.
BUT SHE IS NOW AT THE POINT IN HER LIFE WHEN THINGS ARE FALLING INTO PLACE AND SHE HAS MORE TIME TO ENJOY LIFE. SOMEHOW SHE MANAGED TO GET A LOT OF TIME OFF OF WORK THIS SUMMER DESPITE THE CRAZY OVERTIME SCHEDULE.

HANNAH FOUND HERSELF HAVING OFF ON A LONG EXTENDED WEEKEND AND WONDERED WHAT SHE WOULD DO WITH HER TIME. IT MUST BE SOMETHING FUN TO GET HER AWAY FROM THE HOUSE. SHE THOUGHT OF CATCHING UP ON SOME MOVIES, COULD RENT SOME, BUT NO...THEN SHE'D BE STUCK AT HOME. SHE THOUGHT OF GOING TO THE THEATER, BUT THAT WOULD ONLY BE A COUPLE OF HOURS AWAY FROM HOME. SO WHAT TO DO? SHE THOUGHT ABOUT IT AND THEN REMEMBERED A CITY NEARBY WAS HAVING IT'S ANNUAL FOUNDERS DAY EVENT IN THE PARK BY THE RIVER. IT WAS ONLY 30 MINUTES AWAY, SHE COULD DRIVE THERE AND COME BACK OR GET A ROOM AT A LOCAL HOTEL IF SHE DECIDED TO STAY.

SHE WAS EXCITED AS THERE WAS SOME GREAT LIVE MUSIC/BIG STARS PLAYING AT THE EVENT OVER THE COURSE OF THE WEEKEND. SHE CALLED A FEW FRIENDS, BUT NO ONE COULD MAKE IT. THEY ALL HAD PLANS OR HAD TO WORK, OR COULD NOT GETTER A BABYSITTER FOR THEIR . BUT HANNAH WAS NOT GONNA LET THAT DAMPEN HER SPIRITS, SHE HAS BEEN MANY PLACES ALONE, SHE WOULD GO AND ENJOY THE MUSIC AND FOOD ANYWAY. WITH OR WITHOUT COMPANY. SO HANNAH PACKED AN OVERNIGHT BAG, JUST IN CASE AND HEADED OUT.

ON THE DRIVE OVER SHE WONDERED IF SHE WOULD SEE ANYONE SHE KNEW THAT SHE COULD HANG OUT WITH. TIME WILL TELL...SHE THOUGHT. BUT WAS EXCITED TO BE AWAY FROM WORK AND DO SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FOR A CHANGE.

IT WAS A QUICK DRIVE OVER, AND WITH A LITTLE LUCK HANNAH FOUND A CLOSE PARKING SPOT. SHE GRABBED HER I.D. AND SOME CASH,LOCKED HER VEHICLE AND WALKED THE SHORT DISTANCE TO THE PARK.

IT WAS FAIRLY EARLY, THE FIRST BAND WAS ALREADY PLAYING. SHE WANDERED AROUND CHECKING OUT THE EVENT. DECIDED, SINCE IT WAS EARLY, SHE WOULD GRAB SOMETHING TO EAT AND DRINK AND FIND A GREAT CLOSE SPOT TO WATCH THE MUSIC. THE FOOD WAS GOOD, FINALLY SETTLED ON A BURGER AND COB OF CORN. FOR SOMETHING TO DRINK SHE WANDERED TO THE BEER TENT WHERE SHE ORDERED A MIKES HARD LEMONADE. IT WAS EITHER THAT OR BEER.,..WHICH SHE ALMOST NEVER DRINKS.

DRINK IN HAND, HANNAH WANDERED TO A PLACE IN THE CROWD, FAIRLY CLOSE TO THE STAGE WHERE SHE COULD STILL STAND AND NOT BOTHER THE PEOPLE SITTING ON LAWN CHAIRS OR ON BLANKETS ON THE LAWN. HANNAH JUST SEEMED TO BLEND IN AND NO ONE SEEMED TO NOTICE OR CARE THAT SHE WAS THERE BY HERSELF. SHE WAS HAVING A GOOD TIME, ENJOYING THE MUSIC, STANDING WITH A BUNCH OF OTHER PEOPLE.

SHE HADN'T REALIZED IT, BUT SHE WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE THERE WHO CAME ALONE.

JOE, APPARENTLY HAD THE SAME IDEA..THE PARK, SOME FOOD AND DRINKS AND ABOVE ALL ELSE SOME MUCH NEEDED FUN. JOE WAS STANDING RIGHT BEHIND HANNAH, BUT NEITHER OF THEM KNEW EACH OTHER. NEITHER ONE HAD EVEN NOTICED THEY THAT THE OTHER WAS ALONE. WOULD FATE INTERVENE AND BRING THEM TOGETHER? TIME WILL TELL.

NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE OR LIVE, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL RESTAURANT? NAME SOMETHING THAT IS NOT A CHAIN RESTAURANT, BUT SOMETHING VERY LOCAL THAT HAS THE BEST FOOD ANYWHERE. IF YOU HAVE SEVERAL DEPENDING ON FOOD NATIONALITY...PLEASE LIST THEM. IF YOU LIVE NEAR ME...AND I HOPE YOU DO..I AM HOPING YOU CAN TURN ME ON TO A NEW PLACE I HAVE NEVER BEEN. OR IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL, MAYBE I WILL BE IN YOUR CITY SOMETIME AND THEN WILL HAVE AN IDEA WHERE TO GO...AS RECOMMENDED BY YOU!!

SO PLEASE, LIST THE TOWN AND THE NAME OF THE RESTAURANT AND IF THERE IS A SPECIAL ITEM FROM A MENU, PLEASE LET ME AND ALL OF US KNOW. THANKS!

I HAVE 2 FAVORITE PIZZA PLACES...ANGELO'S PIZZA VILLA IN WAUSAU AND ROLLIN DOUGH IN WISCONSIN RAPIDS. BOTH MAKE THE BEST THIN CRUST PIZZA.

ROTHSCHILD ALSO HAS PAPILLON'S PIZZA...THEY MAKE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ITAL LION FRIES WITH CHEESE. THESE ARE TO DIE FOR!!

WHEN IT COMES TO CHINESE...FOR ME IT HAS TO BE SHAW LEE IN WISCONSIN RAPIDS.

AND WHEN IT COMES TO BURGERS...MY FAVORITE PLACE IS HILLTOP TAVERN IN STEVENS POINT.

FISH FRIES....HMMMM..WILL HAVE TO GET BACK TO YOU ON THAT ONE...I HAVE HAD SO MANY FROM MANY DIFFERENT PLACES.

OK...ITS GETTING LATE...AND I KNOW I MUST BE MISSING A PLACE...BUT I CAN ALWAYS ADD ANOTHER COMMENT LATER.

A guy I dated for a very long time once told me that men do not want to date or take a chance at a serious relationship with a female in her 30's or 40's who has never been married and has not had any . He said that men would prefer a women who has been divorced or is raising on her own because she has been around the block, so to speak, and KNOWS the ins and outs of a real relationship and the amount of work it takes to have a relationship.

I am really wondering if this is really true. Do men or women for that matter really think this way? Or was this just one mans opinion?

I am single and have never been married and was never lucky enough to have any . I have had some very long term relationships that ended...does that mean I worked less hard at those relationships because we were not married? I say HELL NO...I have never worked so hard at a relationship as I did my last one.

I think it was his inability to committ, and his emotional unavailability which were the problem. I believe he told me that so that he could talk himself into beleiving that the failed relationship wasn't his fault. He toyed with my mind so much, that finally 3 years after the end of the relationshsip, I beleive I am finally seeing clearly. How unfortuante for me that I wasted so many years on somone so emotionally unavailable.

I really need your thoughts here...

THANKS!!!

XOXO

Size DOES matter....at least when you are talking about TV's.....lol!! Ha Ha...gotcha!!

My old 27 inch died last week....freaked me out...was relaxing and watching a movie when suddenly the TV made a LOUD POP sound and the screen went black. The scent of something electrical wafted in my direction and I immediately ran to unplug it. My apartment filled with that strong odor, so quickly opened the door to air out the place before I set off the smoke detector. Good thing I was home...it was it a little frightening. I think I learned a valuable lesson...DO NOT leave the TV on when not at home...luckily I was home, but ya never know what could happen.

So, did some research on line and found a TV within my budget...(so much for my tax return...LO. I purchased a Sony 42inch wide screen LCD TV. I LOVE IT!! It's my new toy....and since I am single and don't have any REAL toys to play with....hmmmm life can be so disapointing!!

So, in the end....size DOES matter...at least when you are talking TV's!! I am now looking forward to having movie night at my place....

Enjoy your day/night...
XOXO

Hi and thanks for stopping by. Since my very first blog riled some tempers...this one will be a little more fun and hopefully not offensive to anyone.

Just wondering what your favorite Hotel/Motel/resort/campground is in Wisconsin Dells? I have stayed in many different hotels there. It has been sort of a tradition with my niece and nephew since they were little. I am going down in March for my annual Cabin Fever/Winter getaway. This is a time when I either go alone for true R&R or with a male companion...I am planning on a room with a jacuzzi. I sort of have one picked out...but would love to hear your thoughts and comments.

Thanks...and have a great day!

OKAY BLOGGERS...I SHOULD BE USED TO THIS..BUT I AM NOT...GETTING PROPOSITIONED FROM MY BLOG...YIKES....

THANKS GUYS...BUT NO THANKS...IF I INVITE ANYONE ALONG ON MY GETAWAY...HE WILL BE OF MY CHOOSING.

I WAS SERIOUSLY LOOKING FOR YOUR FAVORITE PLACES IN THE DELLS...I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT LOTS MORE PEOPLE WOULD HAVE A PLACE THEY RECOMMEND OR A SWEET STORY TO SHARE. OH WELL... THANKS FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT COMMENTED.

XOXOXOXO

What is your favorite season?

Mine is fall. I love the colors of fall. I love the rainy days. I love it when the leaves fall from the trees and walking through the leaves, all crispy and crunchy sounding. I love the scent of the leaves after a rain and the musty odor they produce.

I love a rainy fall day when I can curl up in bed and take a nap or curl up with a good book or significant other.

I sure do love autumn!

ARE YOU A COFFEE DRINKER?

Are you a coffee drinker? Why or why not? If you are and you love coffee, can you recommend a great brand and type or flavor. I recently started drinking it all the time, whereas before I only drank it a few times a year. Usually in winter when it was cold and I needed to warm up.

Is it a good idea to buy it in a store and use their grinder or to get your own? And, what is the best way to keep it fresh? Is it better to buy small amounts more often for fresher coffee or doesn't it matter?

Just wondering....thanks.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MAY BE IN OR HAVE BEEN IN A LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP OR MAYBE ANY RELATIONSHIP,
HAS THE AMOUNT OF TIME YOU SPEND KISSING CHANGED OVER TIME? OR IS IT STILL THE SAME? HOW IMPORTANT IS KISSING TO YOUR RELATIONSHIP? IF TIME SPENT ON KISSING HAS CHANGED, WHY HAS IT CHANGED? AND DO YOU MIND THAT IS HAS CHANGED?

I AM JUST WONDERING BECAUSE I FEEL THAT IT CAN BE SO INTIMATE AND BRING A COUPLE CLOSER TOGETHER EMOTIONALLY.

AND THEN I WONDER IF THE LACK OF OR DIMINISHING AMOUNT OF IT ALSO SIGNALS CHANGES OR PROBLEMS IN A RELATIONSHIP.
