At first I thought it might be me, I am, after all, not the most facile when it comes to "social networking" I really have a hard time understanding what all the fuss is about with Facebook for instance. But after using Polyamory Date's new email for awhile it is clear that they really messed up again.
Anyone else notice that now when you attach a photo that the bottom of it gets cut off? You cannot even move it.
All the various panels have to be separately scrolled in order to see all of a given email or email string.
If you look at an email but do not immediately reply it gets completely lost and it is very, very hard to search back.
Really? The people who design these websites need to actually use them. Not just use them with a few contacts.
Try using them when you have a very popular profile because you are a couple with an extremely attractive, hot wife who is actually interested in meeting with single guys.
Then try it over a long period of time.
Then try to go back and find previous contacts in another part of the country where you visit from time to time.
They need a way that we can organize, search, and highlight our contacts and, of course, save this information over years.
We have been paying a lot for this "service" over many years, we should be able to access our history.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Polyamory Date recently changed the layout for emails and for us it is even worse than before.
Now we suddenly have over 40 new emails, I guess it couldn't tell the difference between ones we had answered and ones we had not quite gotten to. IT is confusing and quite cumbersome as in order to scroll you have to move the cursor.
Not sure why they think this is better, maybe someone else can quickly educate us.
What we wanted Polyamory Date to do was to make all of our old correspondence available or at least let us decide what gets deleted and what remains available. One month for a free member I guess should be AFFs decision but paid members should have a PERMANENT, SEARCHABLE, ORGANIZABLE email box with folders or whatever. But it must be long term and searchable to be of any value .

Not sure if anyone ever reads these posts, if you do then you are aware of my feelings about Polyamory Date, but this one relates to you, the Polyamory Date subscribers.
What makes humans humans is COMMUNICATION, the creation of language. But to make it work powerfully we need to socialize.
Somehow much of todays world has rejected face to face communication and socialization with others to only interact with electronics.
People texting rather then getting off their fat asses and walking to another cubicle or room to talk to some one.
Texting back and forth rather than talking and interacting in person or on the phone, VERY BIZARRE!
The vast majority of Polyamory Date users sit in front of their computers and fantasize but when an opportunity arises they are unwilling to actually follow thru.
Harsh? You betcha!
Recent examples:
-January 2011-I was alone in our condo in Maui for a few weeks before my wife was to join me. Wanted to meet and "vet" a few potential playmates before she arrived. Sent out 25 emails to single guys wanting to meet couples.....ZERO REPLIES!
-August 2012-We were heading to Eastern Oregon for a short vacation. Small town but we found on Polyamory Date 6 guys whose profiles fit. Sent out emails, 2 replies (a VERY high percentage) one would be out of town, the other would call us before our last night there BUT NEVER DID.
-August 2012-She turned 60, wanted to have photography party, mini-GB. Emailed or called 12 guys that we knew and had met with before. One declined, 2 said they would come, no response from the other 9! Of the 2 responders one backed out (injury?) the other DID NOT SHOW!
September 2012-Going to the Oregon Coast for a long weekend. Emailed 15 guys on Polyamory Date. One declined (too "busy") one showed up!!!!! and we all had a blast (but I had already met him before so he really didn't count as a current Polyamory Date success)
September 2012-Have a meeting scheduled in late October down in California, decided to start early and sent out 16 Polyamory Date emails a couple of weeks ago. So far have heard back from 3 which is a fine number if they all are actually able to make it to our hotel room but the percentages are quite telling, even in California THE FLAKE FACTOR IS HUGE!
The big question, of course, is why?
My wife is beyond fabulous and we are very easy and not demanding or pushy, we try to make everyone comfortable.
Our main requirements are that guys are extremely clean and tidy, tested disease free, bi-friendly (oral only), and cool with photos (which we all share and have strict rules about not posting).

But we continue to be extremely frustrated by Polyamory Date not providing what it's users need despite the high prices we pay. We would love to be able to look back at all correspondence, organize it for ourselves. Also would be nice if we could have the ability to create a personal friends listing so we could organize contacts.
Oh well, they are getting rich off of us without providing any service or work
But what you all can do to help is to ALWAYS INCLUDE YOUR REAL FIRST NAME AND ANY OTHER PROFILE NAMES in any correspondence. Like if you are a friend on Flickr then let us know the profile name, if you have an old Polyamory Date name then let us know

This is a continued mystery to us. Last posted 3 years ago so worth a revisit.
Sexual bi-ness is the norm for humans.
Certainly throughout history this has been the case.
Bi-ness is more "normal" in humans than monogamy, which the damn Christians profess is the "right way" but, of course they do not practice it.
In the "bell shaped curve" of human sexuality some degree of bi-ness is clearly the "norm".

one of the things that irks us the most is that our email "history" is stored for such a short time and it cannot be organized. Nowadays memory/storage is so cheap. You can get free accounts all over the web with massive amounts of email storage but here, despite the incredibly high price, they only store messages for 90 days, and that is for Gold members!
Even worse the "history" box on another persons profile only reports "contacts" for the last 30 days!!!!!!!!!!

Polyamory Date tried to bill my VISA acct. that I used to sign up for a year ago
I was called by VISA fraud department as they used an incorrect date plus they have been red tagged as a company because of a history of fraudulent billings.
Can't even renew now, they may not be in business much longer if VISA shuts them down haw can they survive?
