***To Dream of Fireworks*** My barefoot stepped out onto the sand. A radiant night in a star spangled land. I instinctually reach out and meet your hand. Our pulses mingle in a harmonized connection. Under a vault of stars, as our only protection. Out in a vast, overhanging, oculus open. You make me stronger and better - As we walk, step by step, together. Outside the crowd that assembled - In electric sky reflections, preambled. There is a cove in the afars, that pulsates like a breeze. We walk, like explorers, to a new world. I have told you the secrets of being hurled - In and out of an abyss, as a fervent wish Of acceptance, and you didn't move an eye lash. You have accepted me for me, and now, I believe. We find a divot in a shadow, a place to be Recreated, within one another, who we are - We now explore, finding who we were always meant to be. I pull you close, embrace you, and pull you closer. The firework display begins to play in the sky. I see a strobing light upon your face, in the corner of my eye. Turning to see the illumination of your physiognomy. Shadows placed, paced, replaced - With firework lights from the sky. The fireworks upon your face is all I want to see. I watch the revolution of lights merge into the finale. O how the shadows dance in the sinuousities of romance - In my transfixed perception, held captive, in this Vision of a visage, melded into a fully alive shadowy happenstance - Perchance to dream of the look on your heavenesque face As you turn to me and our lips meet in the vibration of a supernal kiss... *. *. * Listen to the recording @ LINKTR.EE/UPSIDEDOWNSKY *. *. *

Like so much of what you write, I feel this. I understand the feelings, the emotions, behind the words . . . and how those emotions developed and evolved. To me poetry is about sharing a unique part of oneself in such a way that the reader can relate and empathize . . . putting themselves right there in the moment. You, my friend, are a master at this.
