A interesting way of protest. I wonder how long they stood there like that?

Paige, an insightful blog post. As a blogger with a satirical perspective on life, it is tempting to exaggerate this situation. However, this is actually a very appropriate symbolic message to the Italian government and the new airline ITA - to express solidarity for all colleagues of the bankrupted Alitalia who were forced to sign a humiliating contract. So they stripped off their old Alitalia uniforms in opposition to the takeover- less wages and the fact that only a fraction of former colleagues were hired. A symbolic protest as an attempt to pressure the Italian government into extending unemployment benefits for as long as five years to those Alitalia employees left behind. I am not of Italian heritage, but I stand here in my underwear, sipping grappa and salute you! Cheers!

Not sure why you're speechless over this. It has all the hallmarks of a typical EMEA protest. Not as though they got completely nude; that would be newsworthy.

Least they didn't wear sensible shoes. Grazie, Grazie!

I read about this. I love the Italians. They are not always effective, but they are creative. “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” ― Oscar Wilde

So all I have to do to make an Italian flight attendant take off her clothes is to make her annoyed? I have been adopting the wrong strategy!
