ADVENTURE...What It Means To Have One
To have an adventure is to experience unpredictability (which also results in learning something new, never can't). It is living, living in the moment, not all planned out. When everything is planned out, it's not unpredictable so it's NOT an adventure (unless it turns out to be one by plans falling apart).

How about some things that can turn a get-together into an adventure? Get creative (which means to exercise an ability to create - yeah, you'd be surprised how many people act like they don't realize this meaning).
Make up rules for the night (funny, sexy, quirky, intellectual/intelligent, surprise, whatever). Make up nicknames for each other (mutually agreed up, perhaps) for the night, maybe even use some sort of accent. See what it's like to behave like somebody else, or each other even (trade each other's name for the night, even). Take horny goat weed a couple hours ahead (or before you start a slow process of foreplay with no intention of climaxing soon). Wear something you'd never wear otherwise. Wear the same colors and pretend to be prim proper soccer<b> parents </font></b>who try to get away with something naughty throughout town here and there.
