What The Fuck Happened To The World?!?!

What happened to the world?! for me is the most profound question of recent times...
I fucking hate living in this society. The rise of Social Media and the dominance and control it exercises over the general public is unfathomable.
It has pretty much changed all aspects of our lives. It has changed the way the internet works; the way we broadcast and view media; the way we make decisions, almost everything in life is influenced and determined through the use of social media...
Today; social media is so colossal its intimidating, and to think that it only took a few years and FaceBook for it to become as grand as it is right now. People have become addicted to the point of obsession. They spend every waking hour seeking validation from a multitude of individuals that they know nothing about, and care even less for...
As the world changes, people shift and adapt to the change, yet they never really change. Being social is exactly what we as humans live for; the mind craves interaction with other minds, and that is a concept that mankind has held since the dawn of time. As it clearly states in that holy book that Adam needed Eve...
And so social media caters for a natural human desire. Which is why and how it has become the force that we see today. However, what people fail to realise while trapped in the matrix that is social media, is that nothing is real. And more importantly theyre being mentally hacked. While seeking validation from random individuals and automated robots; they interact and create meaningless relationships without substance. And as the novelty wears off; it becomes less effective at giving them a sense of euphoria; and so, people then crave this feeling and increase their usage of social media in order to achieve it. As a result; theyre trapped in a never ending cycle as they attempt to chase the dragon...
In conclusion, individuals will never truly be happy living life through a lens, in order to truly experience life, and appreciate the magic of the moment, we have to detach ourselves from all forms of social media and technology...
