Took to long...

Took to long...
So this weekend I was sitting at home, working my way through the re-watch of Classic Doctor Who I started and I felt like doing some painting. I did research and got together all the things I wanted to use for inspiration. Got out my canvases, paints and everything. Some nice tea, snackage, made sure the boys were situated and started the first sketch. Once I had that first rough done I started painting. Of course up till 9:30 PM there was the little interruptions for help, but that is par for the course. However I was up till almost 5 am on Sunday working on this first one. It took way longer than I thought it getting it just right, and I wanted it to be just right. Luckily I had a great person I was chatting with all night as well to make the time fly. It is a birthday present for my oldest , and although I have until the 30th of August to complete, I wanted to get it done.



You see Batman is their favorite character. This Classic Batman look has some significant meaning in that my eldest was born Wendy. However, they prefer to be known as Wyatt. It is a difficult thing because the majority of our family does not accept, and I'm showing (as much as I'm telling) that I love him no matter what. I think he will appreciate it, and I wanted to share it with you all. Of course I wont let on how long it took, I'll pretend I<b> whipped </font></b>it up quickly.

Unfortunately because it took so long (and I was tired on Sunday) I was only able to get one other painting done. I needed to update my Doctor who wall with the 13th Doctor. I really cannot wait to see what Jodie Whittaker brings to the role. I think she will be brilliant



The good news is I already have the prep work for my next patch I'll do, and hopefully they will go a little quicker this time. What I like most about painting is you can always fix it, with patience and more paint. No matter how bad it gets a little work and it becomes great. Of course there is always the white wash it all and start over route too. I use that one a lot less though, just like life it is all about the patience.

Not surprised that a group of people with a set Dogma relegated in Puritanical laws is non-accepting of someone else choice that differs from their own thoughts. Me either. It is sad that Religion, which was created to explain phenomenon and give comfort, can be so closed minded and hateful to others who do not think alike.
