An OPEN InvitatioN... To The BloggerS FarewelL PartY... ðâ With the imminent release of the 'NEW Blogger Community' â here on 'A F F' â and the subsequent PROMISE from a multitude of bloggers that THEY will be leaving this site, it's only fair that we throw them a 'going away party', right? I was on 'Zoom' the other day with the 'Bobs' (*CIO and CEO of A F F*) when the controversial topic of the modifications to the blog pages came up. Bob spit-balled an idea. "Paul, how's about we throw a bash for all those bloggers who'll be fucking off?" (*although, I think he meant to say â retiring.*)  And with so many empty offices available â due to the recent layoffs â a sleepover is feasible for those who've had a 'few'. For everyone who can't make it to California, there'll be a live 'Zoom' feed, so ANYONE who logs in â will be able to join the fun. Further details will probably be posted on the A F F Main Page. I'd like to go, but they've gotta open up the fricken Canada - USA border. There's only one question that remains to be answered; Bob wanted to know the number of parting gifts he should prepare. "Paul, how many bloggers are going to fuck off and leave Blog Land and how many of THOSE â who say they will â are full of shit?" I believe what he meant to say was, "Do you think any bloggers will ever leave these pages and find lives elsewhere as enriching and fulfilling as the erotic experience offered here?" I'm guessing THAT'S what he implied. I heard a clatter of bottles and watched as Bob stumbled across the room. The other Bob put his glass down, lay his head on the conference room table and fell asleep. I was left watching him snore while I listened to the sound of Bob â throwing up in the bathroom. I caught a glimpse of what is possibly in our future fairly late (my time) on Saturday night, but didn't get a chance to fully explore and CERTAINLY did not figure it out. When I logged in Sunday morning I had already resolved that this was at last the end of my LONG blogging time here (coming up on 13 years). Nonetheless I was in the process of exploring the new format when POOF it was gone. Maybe they were just giving us a view of how bad it could be so we'd stop carping about how bad it is now? Whether someone stays or goes is really of no consequence to me as I have been on this site far too long, and when one person leaves, someone else fills the void so the song remains the same. For me, I am more concerned IF the local members (females) leave the site en mass. This is far more concerning to me. Great post!

"Wazzis?" thinks I, so I clicked on it, and up pops a crotch shot I've never seen before. "Bitchin', says I. "Just what I want everyone to think I'd save." I found nothing I'd want to use in this new interface. It was messy, crowded, and unintuitive, with fewer of the features I've grown accustomed to. If he brings it back, there will be nothing left of A.F.F. to draw me back.

I'll see what they come up with... it's slim pickings here when it comes to eligible men to meet in person so I guess I'll have to stick with the blogs for entertainment. Not sure if it's going to be any better or not tho... but at least it reminds me that I'm not desperate for reassurance!

It can't be a lost cause Andrew has to turn it around and make it pay.. or he looses As I read the post of the day, and as any one knows any one can see ALL of the post and blogs, One would have to be very naive to think that most can't see all here, Blocking some one is so kindergarden.. There does seem to be a bit of uncertainty about the new " comunity" and the groups within.. those shoud be user defined not site assigned. Reguardless of what the outcome is, there wiill be change and all of it is not going to set well with all but there was a nice look about the rollout, a bit confussing as any new software will be, till one gets the hang of what is hidden where!!! I feel like I'm one of the few who totally missed that weekend disaster, but the disapproval seems SO universal that it doesn't sound good. Of course, I've been here practically since the Paleolithic era, so it would take quite a lot to dislodge me. The closest I came to quitting was when it came out that A FF had several other "front ends" (basically what looked like different sites, but actually were the exact same set of profiles and same menus). And one of those sites was called Fuck a Slut. They lost a LOT of female members during that brouhaha.

Acceptance can vary depending on how changes are introduced...no one likes them rammed down their throat without warning or explanation. Hopefully, Andrew will plan the rollout and take all the feedback into consideration. I am happy to stick around and see how the 'new and improved' Polyamory Date works.

Top Blogger Lists were gone, but so was the ability to follow your favourite blogger. Standard members could read any blogger's profile, so THAT was good. The text was perfect; no words or letters are missing. And the 'look' was very slick and glossy. I imagine they'll address the shortcomings and reveal that NEW Blog Community soon. We'll see. That 'blogger wish list' resembles very closely the current blog format we have. I've worked with web templates, and they're only flexible to a certain point. I expect he's realized the task he's facing â and his 'simple fix' â ain't that simple anymore. *UGH* Oh well... it was a good idea. His timeline has been stretched substantially; unless bloggers are willing to give up on their 'wish list'. We'll see, right? i was wondering WHAT had happened. even in my limited blog reading i caught whiff that something happened in my yet again absence... hmm... i like this format. kinda user friendly. tho i wish my photos stuck in the order i put them if i pace them through the post. i can't seem to do that and hence i throw them all up at the top or all at the bottom. i would Zoom. CA is a long trek from Savannah! but i'm so pooped with the McJob that i might roll over when that Zoom started. good thing i am +1 friends with Bob via you! i shall always be in the know! thanks for the update!!! and inside scoop reporting!
