I have some redline across my profile page saying Admin. Perhaps I can wreak havoc. I clean my fridge and cupboards every spring. So I generally have no expired products. I read an article that said that a lot of what people may blame on the flu etc is actually mild food poisoning. You can risk the expired stuff but I wouldnt eat them all at once... just saying no ragout of expired goods. I know that the dry stuff is more volatile than the sealed, canned stuff. I google the product and then I decide. But.... it's not like my whole pantry is full of expired cans... lol. Just every once in a while.... I stumble across something... that clicks in my head and I go ;"Hey... back in September 2015, what was I doing?" Then it brings a smile to my face. 😁 You're pretty well organized. Good for you. I work in event management and have been offered an assignment doing something I have never done before. For me, Customer Service is paramount. If I felt under pressure, made mistakes and a line started forming, it would blow my perfect record. Should I turn it down and risk not getting something else 🤔? Or request an alternative assignment that I know I can ace? Bulging or dented cans or packages that wiggle are definite signs it’s time they get tossed! Why risk getting sick 🤮? I don't have anything here, that looks like that... Except for that seafood sauce... Which I've now named "Billy"... He's cute... and really low maintenance. I put him on the windowsill.. once a week. 😱 Just kidding.... I put him out at least three times. He seems really happy to see me, when I get home. Be very careful eating out dated foods you should google the item before opening as many things have a long shelf life and lots don't. Nothing to complain about as I missed yesterday as I was so exhausted after the club yesterday. One thing new is I was voted in as Second Vice President of the club yesterday..Yea me.. lolSeduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

The most surprising thing I found was the info for dry food ingredients packaged in air tight bags.... stuff like ; cake mix, cereal,... and things like that. It's not the ingredients that go bad... it's the packaging. That "butylated hydroxytoluene", used on the plastic bags.... rots and goes bad. Go figure, right? Well I learned something that day! You're right... you can't mess around with expiration dates. If I was a more diligent 'consumer', I'd never have to read those labels. I'm learning though. Paul... My BLOG finally came back. Now, I can REALLY bitch!  As for "expired" food products, those dates are just a marketing gimmick. If you wanna pop open a can that's out of date... just check for bulging or leakage, first. In 99.9999% of cases, ain't a thing wrong with the contents. I've eaten stuff that's been 5, 10 years past exp. date. Ain't dead yet. The only thing I REALLY worry about is tomato based stuff. The whole secret is inventory control--FIFO  Solar...

If you wanna pop open a can that's out of date... just check for bulging or leakage, first. In 99.9999% of cases, ain't a thing wrong with the contents. I've eaten stuff that's been 5, 10 years past exp. date. Ain't dead yet. The only thing I REALLY worry about is tomato based stuff. The whole secret is inventory control--FIFO Solar... I'm with you on that..... It's the tomato based products that you have to watch out for. My trouble is that I'm following the LI-FO method. One thing it has forced me to do is to have a smaller stockpile in the pantry...it's tough after having spent years buying for a family of 5 with teenaged boys! Tea would be lovely, thank you. I'm doing okay...I slept a lot today. I'll be better soon. That bug is making its rounds. I spent the day sleeping as well.. My whole body aches . I'm going through my pantry... bit by bit. I believe that most of those things, should still be good. 😱Just to let you know.... not ALL of the things in my pantry are expired. Is it just me? I'll be more careful in the future.😊 Do you people really pay attention to expiration dates? PAUL,PAUL,PAUL. you don't eat anything that is expired. not ever. throw it all out. Yes new challenges can be fun, but when it comes to work, I always want to perform at my very best. So, I pleaded my case and asked if I could take on another piece of work which is running concurrently with the one offered. Fingers crossed by wishes are granted. Yes -I have a Black Lab/Bernese Mountain Dog, who recently turned 11 yrs old. I love dogs... It isn't necessarily a tougher task just one I am less comfortable with. They are working on the assignments for the other event so am keeping my fingers crossed I get assigned to it. I worked at it last year. It was highly successful and earned appreciative comments from the client. As long as she's healthy! 🐕🐶 Yes you have to slow things down as your dog starts to age. People are often surprised at her age because in many ways, Molly is still full of 'vim and vigor' and so far, she has remained healthy.

Well... some good news...I got re-assigned to the task and event that I preferred. Just proves that stating your case professionally and politely, can turn out in your favour.
