Welcome to the white stuff!

It's a blizzard out there right now....

What would normally be a peaceful, serene morning of coffee and snowflakes is being sullied by my Downstairs Nightmares as the fucking bitch can't talk the phone without yelling.

Seriously...

It's a phone. It's designed convey your voice through the open airways it's intended target without the need SCREAM what you are saying.

You aren't using a can a string!

I get it. It's snowing, and you think it's beautifu.. Everyone in our building doesn't need hear your white trash description of the sight whatever poor soul is the other end of that conversation.

We've got our own ability see the white stuff!

I, for one, am not that excited see the fluffy flakes.... I hate snow. I hate that it's cold, and wet, and messes my hair, and trudging through it get anywhere....

It's here, now, though.... And so it begins.

Photo Update :30 p.. It still continues snow.

I don't think anything can be harsher than the winter of 2018-2019. The majority of it was below zero, constant wind and white out snow conditions. The scariest day for me was the day it had started storming while I was at work. We got several inches of snow and it was so windy.... I was trying to go home, but all I could see was white swirling around everywhere. I had started driving, then just stopped and sat in the middle of the parking lot, searching for the stop sign to leave the parking lot and get on the road. That was the scariest drive home, I was literally looking for street lights as location indicators. Thankfully I live in town and was able to make it home safely.
That's a scary experience McLade, I hope you've got things like snow shovel and water bottles etc packed somewhere in your car?

I often get a kind of nervous thrill of being lost when I'm out on the hills in the middle of nowhere over here, when it's quiet and I'm miles away from anyone and anywhere. Of course I'm never lost (men can read maps) and I'd never take any chances or undue risks, but it's a sense of remoteness I guess.

As a denizen of Southern California for most of my life, snow is a curiosity at best. I’m too spoiled by sunny days and wearing shorts nearly year round to even wish for that devil white powder. I suppose I could drive 2-3 hours to find some snow but why? Lol. Those who enjoy cold weather and snow, carry on. Me? I just wanna float in my pool and drink tea.
If I had a choice? I'd rather be floating in a pool, drinking tea too. LOL

I think we are supposed to be getting some of that stuff tomorrow. It was snowing a little bit last week and it was the first time my Granddaughter had seen it...at least the first time for her to be old enough to really see it at about 18 months old now.
As a kid, I had liked snow. It was all sledding and snow forts and playing King of the Mountain.... As an adult, I hate it. Driving in it, pushing a shopping cart through it, cleaning up the wet mess any time we venture out... Ugh.

    I embrace the hot weather

when it is hot in God's country, I sweat like a big, and enjoy it

'cause I know it's only a matter of time before the cold weather hits us

now granted, I don't live up north, for a reason

I want warm or hot weather over cold or freezing weather

I'm a two season man, everyone else can have their four seasons

Calvin Harris - "This Is What You Came For"

Baby, this is what you came for
Lightning strikes every time she moves
    And everybody's watching her
But she's looking at you, ooh, ooh
You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh
You, ooh, ooh, you, ooh, ooh
    You, ooh, ooh
I've never really lived anywhere else.... As much as I hate winter, I don't know what it's like to not have winter. I don't think I would miss it.

She's definitely talking about the snow falling from the sky. At one point she opened her sliding door and was yelling about it on her patio, about how "purdy" it was.

That is so pretty! That’s one of the things I miss about NYC when I moved to the southeast. I love the cold! I love the wet and the snow: it reminds me of cleansing and starting anew and erasing the past. I’m the idiot that’ll stand out in snow and get snowed on. I look at it as nature’s way of cleaning up/ giving us a mandated time out: if you must, go to work but after get inside and soend time with yourself/your family and connect.

But sorry that you don’t like it.
You feel about winter the way I feel about spring. Brand new leaves on the trees, fresh blades of grass.... To me, spring is renewel.

You've described it perfectly.... It is like a curtain closing. Weekend drives come to an end as the roads are always snowy and the scenery is just.... Snow. I'm shut inside a lot, now, as hiking and beach time don't exist now. I anxiously await summer.

Good Morning, I am with you not only with the noisy neighbour, but the white stuff too ugh

For the nearly 17 years I was living and working in Germany, I lived in apartments and although I never had a neighbour that screamed down the phone, there was always some noise in the block. Now I am back home in the UK, it is such a relief to live in a house again.

While I like to look at snow,, I hate it for all the same reasons as you apart from my hair, mine is almost gone and I can wear a hat lol

Stay Safe, Have a great Sunday
I really dislike my current downstairs neighbors.... They've actually caused me to hate apartment life as well. Between her loud assed, gravely voice and the chain smoking... It's been terrible having them there.

Yes we are getting snow flurries down here as well. But the good news is that 60 degree weather is on its way later this week.
It hasn't stopped showing yet... Accumulating fast. I have a feeling we'll be getting more than the 3-5" they predicted.
