Volcanic Birds and Aligator Turtles....

What do these have in common?

They both sound totally made up, for one. The Dynamic Boss Duo has me 'researching' them in my free time.

Egads...

Like I don't have enough work to do, I have to check the validity to whether animals exist or not.

Wasn't it bad enough last week when I had to find out what the difference between yams and sweet potatoes were?!?

But, I digress....

I got to spend the rest of my day bumbling through life accidentally pulling tampons out of my purse as I retrieved my name badge and having my male coworker pick it up off the floor while emphatically reliving a story, using the tampon as a new tool for hand gesturing.

I couldn't make this up if I tried.

He literally just handed it back to me, like it was a dropped ink pen or something. I wanted to crawl into a hole and die. It's a co-worker who I talk to everyday so I had to just roll with it and pretend my anxiety didn't spike the moment I saw the thing fly out onto the floor.

I didn't look up the turtle or the bird yet.... I was one of those people who thought they were the same. I looked at a can of yams yesterday and discovered they are actually sweet potatoes, not yams. The can advertised Bruces Yams but clearly stated in small print that the contents were sweet potatoes canned with sugar.I

I never knew.

Yams and sweet potatoes are very different. Yams are from Africa and are quite large and nothing like the sweet potatoes we have in stores here.
