Sweetest Day
It's a Midwestern thing, apparently, because only 11 states observe the holiday.

Unfortunately, Michigan is one of them.



No flowers, no candy, nobody wishing me a happy Sweetest Day.... It's your typical romantic holiday for me.

Yay me!

This has been one of my better Sweetest Day's, though. No , day off.... I literally spent the day napping and watching old school scary movies.

I may regret the scary movie thing later tonight, but for now, totally enjoying a little Silver Bullet with a bowl of ice cream.

 Hilarious! I had never heard of this day until now. Have you ever seen that Simpsons episode where Homer takes on the city trash collectors? "Happy Love Day everybody!"

Yay you! I hope you don't regret the scary movie thing and that you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sweetest Day was actually a creation of candy makers in 1922 to boost their business. It was originally coined, Sweetest Day of the Year, or something like that, and was meant to entice people to buy candy.
