Ugh, Monday morning cleanup.

I'll be honest, my are slobs.

I think most , are, actually. They don't care where they drop their dirty socks, or what condition the bathroom is in after they've taken their shower. Nor do they think twice about who cleans the toothpaste up from the kitchen sink when they brush their teeth where they aren't supposed to brush them.

It's not their job!

I got home from work yesterday to the sight of my kitchen piled high with dishes and my laughing at the counter, eating chili, and farting. Apparently my had taken it upon himself to make chili in the crockpot.

My can annihilate a kitchen making a snack of cheese and crackers. You can only imagine the mess of.... Chili!

While part of me laughed at the sight, part of me cringed at the thought that I'd be the one cleaning up the mess. I wanted to yell at them for making such a mess, but I didn't. They were having too much fun. I'd already lost my mind the day before when they got red slurpee all over the floor mat in the car during the road trip, I figured I would take one for the team this time.

I'm definitely going to have to start stepping up the game, though. Half-assed attempts at doing a chore just aren't cutting it anymore.

A time or two of cleaning up their own messes should cure some of my Monday headaches.

I don't ask anyone to do dishes, that's MY job. I don't want any half-assed washed dishes in the cabinet. One of the G-girls will get a popsicle, drop the wrapper on the floor while she's walking, then drop the stick when she's done. I've yelled at her hundreds of time but she just doesn't get it. Oh, and when it comes to putting anything in the trash, one attempt is all they'll do, if they miss, oh well, they tried.

I couldn't agree more on the dish, issue. Every once in a while I come home from work and the kids are pleased as punch because they've 'helped me out' and cleaned up a hair, doing dishes or whatnot. Let's just say, dishes are NOT their forte.
