The Face of My God and Savior and His Blood: Two Poems for Easter

The Face of My God and Savior

I look up into the heavens and
quietly peruse the twinkling stars
and shining moon and see the brilliant
face of my glorious God and Savior joyously
smiling down upon me and am overcome by
His wonderful loving presence.

His Blood

His blood dries up the flood
of sin drenches the fields
of the heart, and washes away
the pain of loneliness and despair
with the wonderful doves of peace.
His blood revives the penitent soul,
and bridges the gap between heaven
and earth with the joy of belonging
for it was lovingly shed for you.
