The Birth of Slutmaste Several years ago, several women from very different backgrounds found themselves at a<b> yoga </font></b>class together. Their diversity included a Muslim single mom, an African American lawyer, An Irish special education teacher, a retired grandma who was also a widow and a former Stripper/Adult performer with a Masters in Education…Had this paragraph continued with “walked into a bar”…we would be setting up quite a joke, but this was no joke at all. These women found themselves bonding over tea and coffee in a local new York shop after classes and developing ongoing discussions about sex, sexuality, sensuality, the female experience, their bodies, and all manner of sexual- centric conversations that reflected similar experiences, thoughts, fears, and fantasies across cultural and religious traditions, financial demographic and upbringing. These women decided that the voice of the sexual woman must be heard through the double standards, guilt, shame and ridicule of those who choose to OWN their sexual choices and pleasure, whether that meant being a swinger, a porn star or a monogamous wife. Within this journey, these women choose to live by example and be a role model against slut shaming and a bacon of education for both menand women to gain knowledge, true sexual education and ownership of ones own body, experience and wellbeing. #slutmaste   |
