Do You Read?

Okay ...so the mailman & I were talking today.

He mentioned on how he delivers very few magazines these days except for my house.

I still enjoy reading cover to cover on many magazines, along with ordering clothes from a handful of catalogs.

Yes, I do read and order a lot on line... but not everything.

How 'Bout you?

I prefer actual magazines to the online variety as well. Of course online porn is free, so eh .... Lol

The only time I read real magazine is in a waiting room. Have not purchased any in years, mostly online . I should read a book, but by end of day when I would have time my eyes are tired

HollyChatsNJ replies on 8/13/2019 5:32 pm:
Most of my reading seems to be early in the day.
I hear what your saying about the being tired part.
Thanks so much for your comment.

Gave up on magazines (Playboy and Penthouse) several years ago and have not seen a catalogue in even more years. Most of my reading happens at bed time when wife and I both read for a while. I'm currently on a crusade to read all of the Tony Hillerman mystery novels in publishing order in the series. I'm currently reading "The Shape Shifter", the last of his novels and plan on moving on to his daughter's works. They are stories about the fictional characters, Lt. Joe Leaphorn and Sgt. Jim Chee. both members of the Navajo Tribal Police Force. My parents lived on the reservation (we are white folks) after they retired and went back to work, so I have been to many of the places Mr. Hillerman describes.

Sounds like Tony Hillerman is a great read for you.
As always... Thanks for your comment

I read, but I read books way more than I read magazines. Many interesting articles can be found online so I don't have much incentive to read, much less subscribe to magazines. I buy very few books since I borrow most books I read from the library.

Love the library. Spending lots of time there at least 1 day per week.
Much appreciate your comment.

I read constantly, but mostly either on my kindle or online. I haven't bought a magazine in years, but if I'm waiting at a doctor's office or some place that has them sitting around, I'll usually pick one up and read it. I also order a lot of things online. Beats spending time driving in traffic and being in some crowded store!

I get several magazines for free and I read them cover to cover- I am not an on-line fan. I have been known to read junk mail- never know what you might learn. And I read at least two books a week- not on a kindle or nook- I like hardcover in my hands
