Yesterday when passing Boardwalk Hall and seeing the Miss America Pageant sign,

It got me thinking...

Growing up my family would sit around the television and watch the Miss America Pageant. While the show was on we would all pick who the winner would be.

Not as many families seem to do stuff like that anymore.

 Yeah families need to spend more time together. To much of a 24/7 society now. We need to shutdown for 8-10 hours so people can spend more time together.

 We only had one TV, which was true for pretty much everyone I knew, so sitting around the TV doing that sort of thing was more common. It seems there are TVs in almost every room in the house anymore so everyone does their own thing.

 You are so right seems most don't have time for family nights. They spend all their time on facebook or twitter. Most you see is they are all looking at their phones. Such a shame to waste life on a phone.
