Need some creative writing ideas....

I will ask for assistance with the sexy parts later on

But for now, as I formulate this story in my head and get ready to start writing it down, I would like some feedback from y'all...

The man in my story lusts after a woman who is unhappily married. She is a rich, high-class person and he is working class. They have had a 'dating' relationship for awhile (time to be determined later) and of course it is a very discreet relationship because of her high class standing and that of her husband. She indicates she will not enter into a sexual relationship with him because he is single and she fears he will want to interfere with her marriage if they have sex. She wishes he was married so she would not have to worry about him wanting to 'take her away'.

Questions:
1) Would the guy wonder if she is telling the truth about why no sex? Or would it be ok for him to accept her reasoning? I know part of the answer here lies in who the guy is...he's trusting, a good, nice guy...I just wonder if it is out of the realm of reasonableness for him to accept her statement. I can say that the woman is telling the truth, along with a bit of her being a tease.

2) The guy, in this little world I made up, is a respected citizen in a small bustling community. He contributes to the community in many ways. What kind of a profession does he have? I thought of perhaps a school principal. Has to be a profession where the average reader would accept the fact that he lusts after a married woman...yes, she is unhappy but, she is married and,for now, that matters. To the average reader. In my opinion So what professions come to your mind for our guy?

 why can't any profession lust?

it's the lust after a married woman that is key...any profession? How about a priest (the ones that can get married)? I guess I just have it in my mind that there are certain professions where it just wouldn't be 'nice' for the guy to be lustful for a married woman.

 I would say manager of a large retail store with a ladies department ,where the job comes before personal life. not school principal the only single principle I've seen is in the simpsons

no where in the United States would that happen.

Besides if he's not married wouldnt that town think he is gay.

 As far question #1 sounds like she is more afraid of what the sex would mean to her. Maybe she doesn't want to just leave her current life behind for something less? She has issues to work out one way or another. As far as whether or not the guy would believe her? What guy hasn't had a woman play the I don't want sex card.
