I MISS being close that special someone

Not just being with someone, but truly being close to them. When you’re the best of friends and the most intimate of lovers, when you can share yourself completely and be totally open with each other because you both make each other feel so comfortable.

When you can have the deepest and hardest conversations of your life and know you’re both there to support each other. When you know each other so intimately that you can communicate with a touch or glance and know exactly what the other is thinking.

I miss those special connections and the incredible joy they bring to your life, I miss that partnership and care, the feeling of us and how strong that felt. I miss my best friend, I miss my lover, and I miss them being the same person.
