I once had occasion to visit that area, sadly by wheelchair, and loved the area, but those cobblestone/old brick sidewalks were murder to negotiate. By the time I had gone the 2 blocks from my parking spot to the restaurant where I was meeting someone, I was hurting something fierce, and certainly not 'fresh" anymore! And the restaurant was not wheels friendly, despite me calling & asking in advance. Was NOT a great 1st date to be sure !

There was a group of us that went to the fish market every Thursday night for several years. (Many years ago, when I lived in Alexandria.)

Yes, I've been there a few times. It's so lovely to walk around the old town and enjoy the fine food and drinks. BTW, you look amazing. I'm sure he loved having you on his arm. You look like serious eye candy. It's good hearing from you. Bud Always Ready for Fun.

Alexandria is a great place to enjoy an evening; definitely go to National Harbor. I've been there a few times with a few various friends. I had a work-related thing at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, so got to spend some time there then too and had a friend join me. It is equally enjoyable and make sure you take a spin on the Ferris Wheel! [image]
