A Tale Of Carpe Diem. A Poem
A Tale Of Carpe Diem. A Poem My heart breaks For what you went through I can only imagine the pain I can only imagine how At night it keeps you awake. To lose the love of your life The woman you thought Your soulmate The mother of your , Your wife. How the days Without her seem grey How the thoughts of her Haunt you day and night. But you put on A brave face for your sons. This I can only imagine Because you shared Some of this with me. I can mention it. The depth of feeling Of loss Of grief You are broken But you must persevere. You think of your How they are missing her too You are now their only parent You do not want your suffering To kill their spirit You must teach them The greatest lesson Carpe Diem. You do not care About Kubler Ross'stages You are your own man. You have support If you need it You have even come To enjoy the company Of women again But they are just Friends with benefits. With someone who loses Their soulmate Should they think Another one A replacement possible? Could lightning Figuratively strike twice? Could chance And serendipity And stars align To make such An alliance again? Motions Day to day living They are what Get one through Hope's blight. What light through Yonder window breaks? Upon the morning The sun is shining The night and It's emptiness Can be escaped The motions Of living day to day Courageously embracing The Carpe Diem philosophy If only to show to others A brave face And to commiserate In others pain With the example That life is to be lived While we have breath For those that life Has forsaken. Independently Romantic Sounds Better Than Lonely |
