I Think I Need A Mulligan. A Poem

I wanted to be able
To do it over
To have a Mulligan
So to speak
With him.

My heart was moved once
Where he is concerned
It has muscle memory.

I know most folks
Would say adios
Would not give him
The time of day.

But I know that
One reason
We are not together
Is because of my shortcomings.

So can I change
It is what
My mind thinks.

 Are you sure the reason you are not together is because of your shortcomings or his? You might be able to change but can he?
