the Gilligan's Island poll for the Ladies  

I suppose we owe it to ourselves to ask this. There were four males on the island too.

Here are your limited options.

The Skipper: Big, congenial, reasonably attractive. His career choice is "charter boat captain" so he is clearly not your corporate type. He tries to show a little leadership when necessary, is a bit co-dependent with Gilligan, not especially bright but caring, and responsible.

Gilligan; skinny, weak jawed, works for the Skipper as his "crew". Frustratingly inept, and not overly ambitious but very kind, gentle, and friendly to the animals on the island, including the chimpanzee who no one could explain how it got there from Africa. He does have a bit of testosterone and both Ginger and Mary Ann can distract him on occasion.

The Professor: Good looking and smart enough to fabricate all sorts of gadgets and materials to help the group survive including an apparently endless source of batteries for their lone radio. He is a bit introverted and uncomfortable with the glamorous Ginger but less so with Mary Ann. He allows the skipper be the skipper I.e. defers to his leadership when needed. He is a bit pompous however and you always wonder how much of what he says is Bs.

Mr. Howell; He is an ivy league blue blood, presumably got his fortune by inheriting it, older, rather prissy, and not accustomed to doing much actual work. He is a net drain on the group from a survival standpoint since because of his wealth he feels he is entitled to special consideration. Has an apparent endless supply of Champagne, and as an older guy goes is not bad looking. He is devoted to his rather uptight wife, but I suppose could be tempted to stray.

So ladies, who will it be?
