The Case of Christian von Boetticher
It is not too difficult to find a case of a European politician that starts chasing the young tail. My favorite, without working too hard at it was this character.

This guy was a 40 year old up-and-coming provincial legislator in Germany who was run out of office in 2011 for having a relationship with a 16 year old. Apparently this is not actually illegal over there like it is here.

Of course this fellow was a conservative, which also over there means something slightly different than here. According to the NYT story, the public was not actually infuriated at the affair but at the fact that the guy had many hundreds of idiotic posts on FB which suggested that he had poor time management skills. The guy met his partner through FB and when the news broke used it to defend himself, which was futile. He later disabled his account but it did not save his job.
