Time

I do not sleep, I do not breathe, but I do hunger. I devour all things through the eons. There is nothing to halt me, not manner of mechanisms to slow my progress. I cause brittling of bones, dotage in old age. I play no favorites, I answer to no man. Rocks crumble when I am near, oceans evaporate, seasons change. Invincible, relentless, inexorable, I do not wait. I press onward. For I am time, and I shall always be time.
