What song lyric or line of poetry speaks to you?  

I'm a word wonker, a literature loon and a pundit of provoking prose. (Not to mention a fan of alliteration.) I have found that in most situations I encounter I find myself recalling a song lyric or line from a book (occasionally movie) that speaks to me and frames the experience. For example Dylan Thomas' line "Do not go gentle into that good night." resonated while a friend was in a coma after an accident; "What's so funny bout peace, love and understanding" by Declan McManus (aka Elvis Costello) has been running through my head often as I watch the news; and "I'd buy a green dress. But not a real green dress cause that's cruel" by the Barenaked Ladies almost every time I am in a mall. I've listed a few of my favorites. Does one of these speak to you?
