Can't take a joke Seems that Mother Nature really doesn't have a sense of humour .... or has a twisted one.  A few dazes ago we had a -35C [-31F] day and I may have been a little critical of the weather. Not knowing that she [Mother Nature] was a blog follower, I am guessing She took offense to it and decided to flex Her muscles a bit.  Out the door early to officiate and had about 2.5 cm [1 inch] of ice on the car to go along with freezing rain. Yes, it was relatively mild [the twisted part of her humour I think] but the ice was a royal pain to get off the car.  slight exaggeration  Finally get the ice off all the car windows and start driving, slipping and sliding down the hill to get on the road to head to the game. It would have been fitting if Slip Slidin' Away would have been playing on the radio, but it wasn't.  She played H.E. Doublehockeysticks with tournament schedules this weekend, but to the credit of the parents and players, the game started on time and everyone was in a good mood. Christmas spirit must have been in the air.  Slid my way back home for a short break before heading out for 3 more games. She had let it warm up enough to leave a slick sheen of water on top of the ice She made. Now I'm all for slippery and wet but COME ON!! that wasn't what I had in mind lol.  Back down well below 0 tonight and tomorrow which means even more ice but at least it won't be on the car ....... I hope.  And on that note, Mother Nature rocks!!!    Stay safe out there! I spent 5 winters hauling produce into Canada so im familiar with that northern ice..thank gawd I don't go further than 3 hrs away from home now.. woop woop

Yes I went out in my summer jacket tonight to go to the store. It was almost shorts weather... lol We had rain all day, so roads are clear down here.

It's definitely been a slippery slope every where, and I am hearing there is more to come.. . Stay safe everyone..Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

the dog walking has taken a turn for the worse. the humans are huddling like cows while the dogs run and frisk, returning only to see if anyone still has feeling in their fingers and can reach for treats. dirty little beggars.
