Came out .....

Came out ..... after officiating a game to snow falling. It has warmed up .... a bit. Only -25C when I left my place this morning lol.  The game went well .... the usual stuff an official has to deal with: players, coaches and fans, nothing out of the ordinary.  As I'm walking to my car, knowing I'll have to brush the snow off of it, I see an elderly woman, probably in her early 70s, brushing snow off of her car with her hand.  [not this bad btw, just thought it was a cool pic] So I go to my car, get in and start it, grab my snowbrush and walk over to her car. As I am walking there, I notice she is in her car with the wipers on trying to get it clear.  As she sees me, I motion for her to roll her window down [aging myself by saying that and motioning that lol]. I ask her if she would like me to clean her car off for her as I noticed she didn't have a brush. She looked quite surprised and said she had left her brush in her garage so I jokingly said "that's a good place for it".  Cleaned the snow off and scraped her windshield and as I waved to her and started to walk away, she rolled down her window to thank me and to apologize for yelling at me during the game. I told her she was welcome and that being yelled at is part of the job and that she was yelling more at the uniform than me. Wished her a Merry Xmas and then went to clean my car off.  I like to think I brought a little sunshine to her day, which makes my day a very good day. It will also keep me in an even better mood as I head out to get yelled at some more this weekend. Another random act of kindness, good for you everyone should do good deeds like this for someone who needs assistance.. Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Random acts of kindness not only make the recipient feel good but also the giver. They don't have to cost $$ and for me a smile or simple thank you is reward enough.

It feels good to help someone in need, I agree that no act of kindness is wasted. The actions of the gentleman you are.

well done you cwaztwabbit. random acts of kindness are rare these days so bless your heart. isn't it lovely that you also had the additional delight of her apologizing for yelling at the ref? teehee. kudos for being a good guy You cannot conceive the many without the one.
