Sometimes .......

Sometimes ....... events demand attention. I had an idea all set to go for a post today when I saw this headline. Alan Rickman, giant of British screen and stage, dies at 69 One of my favourite actors, across numerous roles. As someone who loves the quick comeback, smart ass, and sarcastic comments, his characters had perfect timing and inflection when delivering them. From  to  where I both loved his character for caring about his staff in his effort to help Sarah and Carl realize their dream/fantasy, and at the same time disliked him for being tempted and succumbing to the flirtations of his secretary.   He was great in Galaxy Quest, a movie with a great cast ....... and Tim Allen lol  He made a funtasticly dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham in Kevin Costner's Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. But for most people, especially the younger generation, he will always be remembered as ....   He took a character who I am sure most hated throughout the series until you finally got to see his humanity and love at the very end. Seems like Professor Dumbledore was right after all, love is the strongest force.  Thank you for all the memories you have given to us. You will be sorely missed. I am saddened at the loss of another great actor. I have not seen a lot of his films, although, I enjoyed him in the ones I have seen. I may have to check out some of the once I have missed.

I loved his smart ass voice and sarcastic comments. 2 gone from cancer at 69 within a week. R I P Rickman and all the others. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
