do swingers wear black rings?

Do swing couples advertise that they swing by wearing a black ring on their right hands? We have always wondered if there was a way to let others know we were "down to swing". After reading a post by an Polyamory Date member about the subject and doing some side work, we found that the info for our area is very limited So the question is doe's it work? The rule says, "wear a black ring on your right hand" it can be on any finger except you middle finger. Has anyone tried this? If not what about adopting it as a part of the lifestyle culture? Please let us know your position, and let us know if you see any black rings around.

Have not heard of that before. But sounds like a great idea

Agreed, there is room for error, thats why we are asking! Imagine walking up to some dumpy early 30 somethings, that just wear black to be EMO. But in the proper context, like at a non swing party with peers where you sort of want to advertise to those in the know. We are watching to see if people are giving small hints to the real them

We have heard it promoted on other sites and the responses in those sites say it works but not always. Our experience is not to rely on it.

OK so its been about two weeks of looking for swing rings. So far we have not seen one couple or single wearing this type of ring. There was one coiple in the grocery store who we thought might be putting off the vibe, but she kept her right hand covered. Anyone else have any luck?

My wife and I have black rings but we use our wedding rings so they are not on our right hands. It has brought up many conversations and a little bit of fun.
