Contentious Topics If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you can appreciate that I don’t back away from throwing out some topics that are just minefields; topics where there will be strong opinions. The latest one of these topics on circumcisions has been over the top. I had e-mailed a friend about the post and some other matters, and in part of her response she said she hoped I wasn’t offended by her comments. She indicated she had actually considered emailing me her comments rather than posting them. My response to her was; I was “not offended at all, quite the opposite in fact. I love in impassioned discussion because it makes everyone think. I never expect anyone to agree with what I throw down, I always hope that some do, but I also hope just as many don't, or this will be boring as hell”. For me there is nothing better than an intelligent discussion where people are on both sides, a debate if you will. I hope things stay friendly and respectful, and I certainly hope I have not offended anyone with the position I have taken in some of my comments. The one thing I have learned on Polyamory Date is everyone doesn’t think like me; well ok, I knew that coming in. Some of you, you know who you are, are into some pretty wild shit sexually, and conversations with you has expanded my mind, making me consider viewpoints I would never have otherwise considered. Some of my own points of view may be way off base, because admittedly I am unconventional in my thinking. As a footnote to that last thought, reading books written by Militant Feminists like Andrea Dworkin will have you examine things from unconventional viewpoints, that’s for sure. Everyone once in a while, should read a book written by someone who you may not necessarily agree with. I think this is what I like about your blog. You present your views, I don't agree with all of them, but that is life and I learn from it. The key to me is that you do respectfully entertain different points of view. This is your blog and is your "blogland home", you keep as you want. Wouldn't life be boring if we all thought alike? I have very strong opinions but most of the time it's about stuff that it doesn't matter to me where other people stand; like circumcision. Some topics, though, will cause me to back right off from someone I disagree with. I won't fight with them about it but I won't want to converse with them any longer. Find pleasure in giving pleasure

I love your posts, they are thought provoking and spark (sometimes intelligent lol) debate. I rarely get upset, although I do get irritated at close-mindedness or people who misinterpret what they read. But keep on doing it, great blogs! Find pleasure in giving pleasure

No body's opinion matters as much to me as my friends - I am always grateful for their input - we may not always agree - but I always respect what they say - and in some cases it even influences my change as far as your blog topics - keep it up conversation is always good - we may not agree but it does make us think - and thinking is what move us forward as a spiecies Find pleasure in giving pleasure

I like debate, I like to learn, I was somewhat intellectually and/or emotionally ofended by your stance, but not enough for it to matter in the long run. However, I will admit I did not read the two following posts because I am no longer interested in the topic. I don't support male circumcison,...but you and I are going to have to agree to disagree about calling the two equivalent. Good girls go to heaven,....Bad girls go EVERYWHERE! Is your blog and your ideas, we are adults and each is entitled to their opinions. Will still only do circumcised men, if needed will do the complete vaginal fix and will do my best to had all my grandsons circumcised.
