Sex Letters and Erotic Writing
Sex Letters and Erotic Writing Masses be aware - I've been penning a lot of erotica of late. Not only am I horny, I find it's a very soothing outlet to be able to creative word exactly any fantasy a sexual mind deems fit. Don't worry though, I haven't given up my 'day' job by any means since there's still part of me that enjoys bringing creative nonfiction to the masses and generating thought provoking discussions on said topics. Granted, what I've put up currently is far from Henry Miller as one could possible imagine; nonetheless, what goes to print serves my sensual purposes as a quick and efficient way for me to 'get off' on my writing ventures, because there's a certain notion that writing sexual provides a great opportunity: to transcend the pages of material and create a world in mind and online for those anticipating the need for erotic prose. Before I ultimately decided on posting entries for this blog, my hobby consisted of jotting down noted poems and stories on the fly and numerously scattering those on my computer these unfinished pieces I would occasionally thumb through in order to salvage something out of it. Honestly, I didn't know what the hell I was writing - and sometimes, still don't - I just figured on hoarding the stash in case I might have the next Harlequin novel in the making. Fast forward to now, and here I find myself in a certain mindset to write in the genre again, and in turn I've been doing some personal research on the current state. Yes, while sex is a timeless venture, aspects and creative notions on the writing front radically change, but not always for the better, i.e. 'Fifty Shades of Gray.' However, I'm glad to know my fellow writers have been a blast to read, with some providing an even more sensual approach on having sex with a partner or two or three. In every case, it takes only a few sentences to put me in an excited mood and see what I could do as well. While I can continuously nerd and geek along the sex subject, there's also a part of me that feels the general populous within blogland or even on site generally doesn't feel the same way or share my enthusiasm for the genre. Granted, the very act of reading itself takes a lot of vested time - unless you're an avid reader already, most sexually charged adult goes ADD when it comes spending the extracurricular activity lining a long Penthouse Letter type story: it ultimately takes away from the focus of a score. Or maybe I'm wrong, everyone is reading; I just haven't seen much going on in terms of chatter because there's been some extra key 'strokes' happening when people are letting their fingers do the walking. Personally, I don't blame you - skin on skin contact beats pornographic play in head any day of the week. If, by chance you've gotten wet from the mere mention of 'Tropic of Cancer' or 'Lady Chatterley's Lover,' I then ask, do you have any favorites? Do you prefer a guy's point of view on a sex story, or a woman's gentle touch instead? What draws you into erotic stories, or what is it that you can't stand about it? These are all interesting questions indeed, and I want answers. Drop me a line, and let me know what you guys think. |
