Trump is partially correct that NATO allies should spend more on their own defense. With the savings the US could improve its infrastructure. The claim that Germany is controlled by Russia is not true. The US spends 3.5 percent of GDP on defense so why press Europe to spend 4%?

For some reason Trump seems to like dictators like Putin and Erdogan more than Western style democracy leaders. Why?
