Stable genius? The owner/trainers of Seabiscuit were stable geniuses! Trump not so much. If you meet real brilliant people you quickly learn they do not brag about their brilliance. They know they are good, but know their limitations. They excel in part because they have learned how to cooperate with others and accomplish great results. Trump has learned how to antagonize and publicize. But lacks many key skills to advance his agenda. The Obamacare repeal and replace showed his inept political battles. Trump is great at insults and ridicule. Not a good talent for governing, as opposed to campaigning. His ham fisted approach to DACA may lead to a Federal Government shutdown. Again not a winning strategy. Bluffing does not work when the other guy has a winning hand. With GOP in charge of the Congress and Presidency, who gets the blame if it shuts down? Do the math Donald. Democrats will never vote to spend billions on a border wall. Mexico will never pay for it. Democrats will never vote to end immigration for family members. Democrats will never vote to reduce Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid. Democrats will never vote to increase military spending and cut domestic spending. Democrats will never vote to increase tax cuts for the rich at the expense of the poor and middle class. Donald needs to stop eating fast food and ice cream, stop watching Fox news, and wake up... The US Senate has 51 GOP and 49 Democrats and socialists. You need 60 votes to beat a filibuster. So 9 Non GOP senators must agree to get a bill to become a law. Bipartisan means it must appeal to Democrats as well. So Donald needs to learn how to reach a deal with the Democrats. Time to learn. Most predict a lot more Democrats come November 2018.... |
