Medicare for all The Bernie Sanders wing of the Democratic party is now pushing for Medicare to be expanded to everyone. The bill is in Congress and has over 50 co-sponsors. The only solution that makes sense is having everyone in the same pool for medical insurance and get rid of the 35% paid for insurance forms and coverage disputes. Health insurers can offer supplemental policies that no one needs. I expect this result to come after the GOP destroys the health insurance industry and takes down the hospitals and doctors. From the ashes the<b> phoenix </font></b>will rise. Winston Churchill said it best: You can count on the Americans to do the right thing, after exhausting every other possibility. |

This is what they have in Australia, New Zealand, England, and Canada. You pay for extra coverage for things like plastic surgery or a special pool of doctors. We need to take the profit out of most healthcare as that is why some people cannot afford it. the US can come late to the party. We should just go with the solution that the entire civilized world came to starting about 1948.

the expansion of medicare makes sense - a on epayor system - it would be the only reasonable response to repealing obamacare and one that could be rolled out quickly. it won't be cheap but the infrastructure is largely in place. You cannot conceive the many without the one.
