Trump and George Orwell Trump has ignited fear around the world. He has reminded us of the disturbing tendency of some world leaders to use propaganda to state false info as factual. Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin were known to use this method of propaganda. The English<b> author </font></b>George Orwell satirized this nasty habit in famous books: "Animal Farm" and "1984". The relevance of these works about language is a chilling reminder that history can repeat itself, if we let it. True to keep clear the difference between Trump's alternative facts and actual facts. |

I think that is what makes him most dangerous. The fact that he states what is clearly false and repeating it, and having all his minions repeat it makes people question anyone who has an opinion based on actual facts. My step Mother-In-Law who was a fairly wealthy and successful Filipina prior to marrying my FIL was talking about Obama prior to his first election. She was complaining about his Christian church and how the preacher was anti-American and anti-White people (never mind that many "white" people would not consider her white). I simply murmured along, since I was brought up to not argue with my elders. A break in the conversation caused me to ask, "So... you are NOT voting for Obama then?" and she responded with "No, because he is a Muslim!" Now, don't get me wrong, I love this woman, even now, 4 years after my separation and divorce from her step son. But I could not help myself. "Weren't you just complaining that his Christian church was preaching anti-American and anti-White rhetoric? Which by the way, it was not doing that. (here I repeated what actually happened) You can't have it both ways. Either he is a Christian and you don't like how he interprets the bible or he is NOT a Christian and he is a Muslim, though the evidence of his going to a Christian church that you do not like for the last 17 years doesn't support your statement. " We got over that argument but she was quite puzzled in the moment. And that is the danger of listening to "alternate facts". I'm pretty sure 1984 happened already. Litteraly like 33 years ago ... but on paper in the U.S. probably around the close of 1963. What occured in the novel that we have not already seen? If not in the U.S. then somewhere in the world. I can think of several moments in world history far more frightening than 1984, which is actually representing a functioning fascistic monopoly of human consciousness. I'd say those in that book even represented a somewhat more healthy psyche/persona than that of modern U.S. citizens. Right and Left arguments are always so divisive, because they are designed to be so - this is a method, not necessarily a truth, in most arenas of human interaction. If the theories of Julian Jaynes and the breakdown of the bicameral mind theory, which still has several valid points, then this is a built in aspect of human brain anatomy and encouraged and reinforced by aspects of culture. Right and Left politics ... Rite prayer and Left handed worship of G/odds ... Right and Left hemisphere dominance in martial arts and communication ... the overseers and the slaves. The Yin/Yang and taoists lay out most accurately ... a bit of the opposite lies like a seed inside the apparent purity of a 'side'. This creates the polarity and motivations for progress they would have us believe. A likely scheme. Humans get hip to the splits and the few geniuses who work it out well enough to be able to speak volumes to both sides have the ability to wake others to being hip to the gyp. Most though have learned not to try for unification of thought and word and deed preferring to how thier specific arena is as it should and say nothing about how it shouldn't. I mean how many here pick and choose the words and thereby their representation of so called facts to support their view of reality and supplant and another's view? Same BS as in the whitest house in the washingtonist district that runs the maritime orginization that threatens to rival scientology (ha). Divide and conquer ... I see as many liberal democrats eager to either volunteer as slaves or overseers (as if either is the starting position that sticks). Trump ... what under-represented minority does he represent? Property owners ... those who own houses? Fools if you ask me ... just the mass seduced by the glimmer of 30 silver. No he appeals the major hidden unspeaking types with eyes in the zeros that follow thier pursuits. And how is this any different than most of human history? But ... really how can anyone be worse than W? I mean what like 19 trillion riding the back of the tiger. He is a liar and a bullshitter ... he said the election was rigged before attaining his throne and he wasn't lying about that .... but all cons give up the game ... they have to in order for the sting of what they do to sink in enough to the cathode rayon helmets that most plebs ware as they contemplate the republic for which WE stand. When Ralph Nader toured around in 2004 he came to our town and spoke about anaesthitizers and instigators ... when we get tired of being instigated we elect to be anaesthitized and then not notice the hands that change money ... the morals of 20 years ago become passe and we gamble for the gold and the promise of division that usually most get hung out to dry. I talked to Nader after his speach .. he was cool ... told him what I was doing then and he took my name and said he wanted to send me a book related to that work ... fuck he did! Get what you pay for ... We all do. Just I guess some more willing to pay up front. Do onto others as you'd have them do onto you ... have you read alt.com or fetlife ads? ... I don't wanna be treated like those masochists. Golden rule in this case is less about he with the gold makes the rules ... more to do with all that glistens is knot gold. I mean literally creating a land mass in the ocean. combined with Fukishima and fucking godzilla will rise ... or wait is that leviathon? Tiamat?
