Whiplash

Saw the "Whiplash" movie yesterday. Very intense and well made. Simmons should get an Oscar for his performance.

A music teacher trying to inspire the next Bird abuses his driven musicians. Such ambition is not healthy, but can goad people to tremendous heights. Obsession is a terrible thing. Should teachers aid and abet insanity? Probably not.
