Gay marriage

36 states and the District of Columbia, with 70 percent of the US population now allow same sex marriage. So do many foreign countries, including Canada, UK, Germany and the Netherlands.

Many were upset by this change, but Mass. started the trend in 2003. Even the right wingers there are used to it by now and it is no big deal. Extending human rights did not cause the world to end.

How will recognizing someone else's life and desire to marry harm you or your marriage? It won't.

In the US we accept and tolerate that other people can freely practice a religion or no religion without that hurting our own beliefs. Lets someone else marry or not marry. How does that hurt you?

If you do not like the idea that someone is getting government subsidies for being married, then maybe single people are the ones getting hurt and they should lobby to end all the benefits for married people....

Very nicely stated. My sentiment against abortion also. If you don't like it don't have one. If you are against gay marriage, don't marry a gay! LOL Why can't people just mind their own business and let others live their lives?
