Turning Back The Clock

Our clocks changed last weekend. Some want to change it so that it is lighter in the winter evenings, but that would mean it staying dark until 10am in northern parts of the UK. Seemingly China has only one time zone which must make for interesting sun rise and set times across the country.

What may make them even more confused is the fact that the entire Province is NOT on the same time zone. But, just look at a map of BC and you'll see we are pretty big. Why that was done, I"m not sure, but you can also see the same thing when you look at a time zone map of the US and Canada, where the same thing was done in parts of Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and several other States and Provinces. The corner I live in, (the SE portion, "tucked under Alberta", has always been on a different time than the rest of the Province, so since is just to the West, they are either on the same time as us, or the same time as the rest of BC - and there is a highway sign to indicate whether you should change your watch/clock.
