A PINK POSING POUCH  Recently, I was asked whether I was romantic or not. I found the question difficult to answer as I have slightly ambivalent attitude towards romance. I like to show my love to someone special but I prefer my gestures to be spontaneous, whether it is a gift, a meal, a show of affection, a love letter or an adventure. Romance, especially Valentine Day, is very commercialised, stereotyped and choreographed, A few years ago, I went to a restaurant on Valentine Day. Not only did I have to book it well in advance, not only did I have to fit in with the time slots offered by the restaurant and not only did I have to pay well over-the-top for the meal, the restaurant decided to spoil the evening by playing a repeated loop of romantic background music, strong-arming me to buy a very expensive bottle of Champagne and giving me a red rose to give to my Valentine date. It was a dreadful evening. How romantic are you? Will you mark Valentine Day? If so, how will you celebrate Valentine Day? Valentine Day does not mean much to me, though I will send an unsigned Valentine card to my partner, who always knows it from me no matter how hard I try and disguise my handwriting and the lengths I go to post my card from afar. She just hands me a signed Valentine card. I cannot complain because I probably only send a card because I do not want to be shouted at if I did not send one! Given my last blog post on Comfyballs underwear and now this post on a pink posing pouch, I want to deny any suggestion that I have a bulge fetish!

At our age, it has become just another day...however she gets an annual valentine from me regardless!

I consider myself more sentimental than romantic - though I do know how to create a romantic setting. I only celebrate Valentine's Day when I am in love, which I'm not currently. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Well, I was sick at home with a bug on Valentine's Day this year. I comforted myself with the chocolates I got from my playmates. LOL
