A COCK WAS SHOWING AND THE ALPS ARE COMING

l'Alpe d'Huez:

l'Alpe d'Huez’s hairpin bends:

Jean-Christophe Peraud’s crash:

Jean-Christophe Peraud’s 'cock':

Warren Barguil’s cows:

The three-week Tour de France is moving towards the end of its second week. It’s a very exciting race so far. I thought I’d give you an update as I know the Tour is in the forefront of your thoughts!

Team Sky, led by Chris Froome, are dominant so far to the point where many are accusing them of doping! Chris Froome is over three minutes ahead of his rivals so far. Team Sky’s Geraint Thomas and Richie Porte are proving to be brilliant super-domestiques in their support for Chris Froome.

Tinkoff-Saxo’s Alberto Contador and particularly Astana’s Vincenzo Nibali, two pre-race favourites, are not having very good tours.

Moving away from the very well paid top riders, Katusha’s Joaquim Rodríguez is having a fine tour with two stage wins. Movistar’s Alejandro Valverde is also having a fine tour in support of Nairo Qintana, another pre-race favourite.

Lotto-Soudal’s André Greipel is looking like the best sprinter though Tinkoff-Saxo’s Peter Sagan may take the green jersey if he can finally get his first ever stage win.

Etixx-Quick-Step’s Mark Cavendish added another stage win to his tally but the British sprinter is still 10 stage wins behind the Belgian Eddy Merckx’s record 34 stage wins. But I can’t see him winning many more stages this year or even in future years. Giant Alpecin’s Marcel Kittel, not riding this year, will return next year and, if fully recovered from illness, will be the sprinter to beat.

Giant-Alpecin’s Warren Barguil showed impressive bike-handling skills when he had to quickly moo-ve his bike to avoid hitting some cows crossing the road!

AGR2’s Jean-Christophe Peraud is the bravest rider in the tour. The Lycra-clad French rider suffered a nasty fall that ripped his skin off both arms. But, after medical treatment, he got back on his bike to re-join the peleton and finish the race. The French rider’s crash ripped his shirt and shorts; television had to pixelate its coverage of his crash to prevent viewers seeing his cock!

The Tour is moving to the Alps soon; a lot of time will be lost and gained on these mountain stages. Nairo Qintana, Alberto Contador, Tejay van Garderen and Vincenzo Nibali have to attack Chris Froome to stand any chance of taking the yellow jersey. I still think Froome will win the Tour this year.

The most formidable mountain stage in the Alps will be l'Alpe d'Huez, a ski resort. Cyclists will have to cycle to the 10,930 foot-summit with a gradient of up to 13% and with 21 hairpin bends in front of up to one million spectators. This penultimate stage may even determine the winner of this year’s Tour.

I’m not going to ask any questions today as you’ve suffered enough, if you've read this far, with my indulgence in writing about and posting sexy photos of the Tour de France.

There are a lot of interesting stories going on in this year's tour.
Froome tweeted something about a fan trying to ruin his day. What was that about ?

A spectator got in Froome's way and Froome had to push him away. One of the best things about the Tour are the spectators getting close to the riders but a few spectators get too close!
Thanks for stopping by.

I've just heard that a spectator threw urine in Chris Froome's face as he was riding as a protest against him allegedly doping.
There's no evidence whatsoever apart from his performance that he's doping.

I love how close the fans get, but as with anything some take it too far. The costumes of the mountain spectators are the best.

The British Open had a very tight and exciting finish. I was hoping Jordan Spieth would win it as Rory was missing.

Just for you, here's another bulge - Vincenzo Nibali's. I think he may have the biggest cock on tour!

Unfortunately Tejay van Garderen couldn't finish the tour because of sickness. He was riding very well up to that point.
