PLENTY OF FISH
PLENTY OF FISH Plenty of Fish is one of biggest online dating website in the UK and US, with over 55 million members worldwide sending about 24 million messages every day. Its website states: “POF Has More Dates, More Relationships, More Visits Than Any Other Online Dating Site.” The Plenty of Fish founder, Markus Frind, recently boasted an estimated 1 million babies have been born because of people meeting on his site. But Markus Frind has decided to root out the many fake profiles on the site after finding out that the profiles of many single women are men. He has also decided to close down its ‘Intimate Encounters’ option after finding out that many male users are harassing women for sex on the site. In a message sent to Plenty of Fish members, Markus Frind revealed that only 6,041 of the 3.3 million people who use the site every day are women looking for casual sex. He added that “the ones with hot pictures are mostly men pretending to be women”. He summed up the site’s ‘Intimate Encounters’ option as “a bunch of horny men talking to a bunch of horny men pretending to be women”. Markus Frind declared that the site wants to focus on “meaningful relationships”. “There is no reason for a 50 year old man to contact 18-year-old women”, he added. Consequently, he has stopped users from contacting members where there are age gaps of 14 or more years. Have you had any experience of Plenty of Fish? Should Polyamory Date follow Plenty of Fish and root out the fake profiles on the site? Do fake profiles on Polyamory Date annoy you? Should Polyamory Date stop members contacting others who are 14 or more years younger or older? After relationship breakdowns, people – usually my mother – would say, ‘don’t worry, there’s plenty more fish in the sea’. I never found this reassuring. Not because I didn’t want to go out with a fish, but because I knew how difficult it is to catch a fish. I'm not a dolphin and there's no shoals of sardines where I am! |

I'm on both. There are more women on POF but they are playing same old games. Being on my iPhone, my finger will grow tired about this. Cum to my blog and respond. Have a great kissing fun time.

1. Yes. I initially contacted P through POF, but it was the OKC site that truly connected us. 2 and 3. Yes. Fake profiles are nothing but an annoyance and a waste of time. They have no practical purpose. 4. No. That seems too judgmental to me. Personally, I wouldn't want someone that far away from my own age, but who's to say that people with a big age gap can't make that work? [post 3097853] Come join the half-nekkid fun! “There is no reason for a 50 year old man to contact 18-year-old women” I can think of one I saw a woman's profile yesterday that was a oneline "Find me on PoF" and gave her PoF username.

1. Yes, and mostly favourable too. 2. Yes, but I don't know how, short of asking for a home address. 3. The fakes bot profiles are a pest, the multi profilers who cause all the drama are idiots. 4. That's just daft!

1. NO 2. Definately 3. Absolutely 4. No reason to. You set your cupid preference to the ages you want to be contacted by. As long as everyone is a "adult" we can look after ourselves, no need for Polyamory Date to be a mediator.

Likewise, I'm not too bothered with fake profiles. I just move on and focus on the genuine members on this site.

That's just daft! I met one couple who had several profiles; they said it was a 'marketing' ploy to appeal to as many people as possible and also to look new on the site.

I've not heard of OKC. I searched for this site and came up with Oklahoma City Thunder, a basketball team. Perhaps I should join OKC! [post 3097853] Come join the half-nekkid fun! Check out HNW Bloggers.

Have you had any experience of Plenty of Fish? Yes, I was on there for a couple of years at the same time as I first joined this site. I met some nice men, but have found the men on here to be more honest and upfront about what they're looking for. Should Polyamory Date follow Plenty of Fish and root out the fake profiles on the site? Oh no !!! If they did, they might take this one of mine away, and I need it. When I have a female profile I get bothered constantly by men wanting to hook up. With this male profile, I can have a good time on blogs and in groups, but men keep away from me. Do fake profiles on Polyamory Date annoy you? No, I just ignore them. Should Polyamory Date stop members contacting others who are 14 or more years younger or older? No way. That would be crazy. Age makes no difference to some people, and it is not up to the site to censor that.
