My not so secret garden

So here it is, the garden my friend and I have worked so hard in.

It's all coming along pretty nicely if I do say so myself. *Crossing fingers... so far so good! I haven't killed anything but weeds yet!
Can ya see the river behind it? I really love the view in my back yard.
Look really close and you just may see some of the bushes Huck hides behind.

I suppose I should learn to swim if I'm going to hide that close to the water. Of course you know that by posting the pics from the beginning now you'll have to keep us updated by posting more pictures down the road. That way when the plants die, we can make fun of you

Damn it! I'm actually really worried that the tomato blight of last year could rear it's ugly head again.
I'll put a life vest under your bush for you next to the Mountain Dew.

I live near a river, everyday I walk the dog over the foot-bridge. Small fish and ducks are abundant, even the odd heron can be seen if I'm lucky.

make a jug of egg shell water and give em a drink every week, the higher levels of soluble calcium will reduce the effects of soil moisture variances and reduce the blossom end rot problem

also, mulching will help you with the weed problem and help hold soil moisture as well as reducing soil temperature...if nothing available, use an old bale of rotten hay or wheat straw

I love hearing it bubbling by. I'm actually at a point where I can see 3 rivers converging and it's just really cool to see for me. I love to just sit by it and take in the peace.

I've been putting the egg shells right to it every time I make some. Thanks for the tips!

I must confess, most of it is Pater Familias' handy work. I do hire him out from time to time to close friends. Is that like pimping?
