Just have to ask....

How are you feeling about our governors (Scott Walker-Wisconsin) proposed budget bill?

Good or bad, I am just wondering. Thanks.

As someone in a neighboring state, I just have this one thing to say. Perhaps it's slanted a little, due to the Packers winning the Superbowl....but, that's another topic all together.

My thought is....And this really doesn't have much to do with either side of the political line. He was voted into office by the state. A vote was to be held. One side decided the only possible way for this to, for the time being, go for them....was to not show up?

They knew and know that even if each and every one of those charged to vote and voting against it, they would still lose this battle.

They took their ball and ran home. That's how it looks.

I firmly believe that Scott Walker should resign. We elected a Governor and instead got a politician and not a statesmen. By that I mean he is into helping those who are wealthy and can help his political aspirations and coffers. Was not the best of times to reply to this as I can seek a large gap between the haves and the have nits and this is increasing that gap. He manipulates the words to make it sound as if it is entirely a money issue and neglects to say it is a human rights issue for workers. Hmm, I imagine that next week when he announces the rest of his budget, he will talk about an increase in taxes for the wealthy and cutting down on all the tax breaks he gives to business and corporations that support his agenda. Oh yeah, listen to his proposal for controlling the high cost of health care! When he said Wisconsin Was Open For Business - He Meant Walker Business as usual.

Thanks for your comments. I did not intend to give my point of view, just wondering what others were thinking.

I saw a show posted here on the internet...The Rachel Maddox Show. Look her up and watch it. It gives great perspective to the situation, I think.

I personally do not think mr walker has the interests of the working class in mind . He is just trying to set himself up with more power by taking the collective bargining away from state workers . But who is to say he wont get greedy and try that with other unions ?

Walker has the right idea. The best thing that could be done COUNTRY WIDE is get rid of all unions...they are nothing but a haven for the lazy and inept. They once served a very important purpose, but today, by law workers rights are posted in every job place.

If I wanted to abdicate the right to negotiate my working conditions, I'd joing the military. OK, so I did join the military! At least there are veterans groups lobbying on my behalf. Take away a union's ability to negotiate for it's members, you can be sure there will be no reduction in the amount spent by employers in their efforts to lobby for a bigger slice of the pie! It's like giving the fox the key to the henhouse lock.
