SUNSET OF LOVE

Elderly lovers on the porch swing
beautiful sunset a nightingale sings

His hand holding hers as they enjoy the night
no need to speak in the cool twilight.

Their bodies are older,hair is now grey
movements grow slower with each passing day

The heart of the other known to each inside
they've shared every moment of life side by side

As the sun slowly sinks in the colorful night
to the patient observer a marvelous sight

He lifts up her hand and gives it a kiss
the silence amazing yet words you can't miss

Elderly lovers on the porch swing
the sound of their love song we all pray to sing

Smooches the sound oh so awesome
