Virtuality and the surreal.

After surfing blog land for several weeks I have come to a conclusion. Blogs are a way to create our own reality, a life away from our life. Here we become our thoughts, we are less guided by sight, physical appearance that is, sound, smell, taste, and what we hear. So what then guides us? What causes us to post our own definitive declaration either related, or unrelated, to someone else's? Some blogs are very creative, causing me to think. Some are very appealing, and make me extremely attracted to the person I imagine posting. Some are hilarious, leaving me to imagine having a couple drinks with him or her. Some bring me to a world of fantasy, some sexual fantasy, and some completely turn me off or disgust me. There are those blogs that leave me to believe perhaps they are posted in an attempt to create the type of life they wish for. Some blogs simply re-tell the life that they are living, and occasionally ask for advice. I have come to realize for myself, and what appears to be many others, we are all searching for answers. Answers about ourselves; entertainment and who will give it to us, sex and what we want out of it, relief and when it's coming, love and where to find it, philosophy and why we do it, life and how to live it!
For me, here in blog land, blogs help to define who I am, and sculpt who I wish to become.

What reality do you believe, or desire to create in blog land?

In what way have you found that your blogs, and others, have helped to define yourselves and your readers?

What do you hope to obtain by keeping a blog, besides shits and giggles? "feel free to post if sexual gratification is your major desire, but I was thinking sexually, more mentally and emotionally"

LOVE2LOVEYA ~ My original blog title was "Je Suis Qui Je Suis", which translates to "I Am What I Am". Perhaps Popeye said it more eloquently than I ever could, but the title speaks for itself. Whether in Blogville, the chatroom, or in person ... I am one of the (if not "the") most real persons you ever will meet ... IF you meet me.

This is my blog - [blog _Safira]. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I have never given it a thought..I just write the first thing that comes into my head ..What my blog looks like pretty much sums up what I look like in real..I also like to doll up my blog , coz that's what I look like in real ( i like make-up , scents , accessories , etc..)

My blog is just 'me'. Its kind of how i am in real life & a few often say im exactly like my blog when they meet me. I waffle in & out of so many different topics during the causes of conversations just like when im blogging.

Blogging for me is a way to make new friends & ive made rather a lot in real life from my blog. I never meet with non bloggers & ive even met my new bloke from blogging.

So it works for me as an extension of life.
