Guess I'm just an uncommon sorta gal
Guess I'm just an uncommon sorta gal So far so good. I tell you though it was nerve a racking visit. They found I have adenomyomatosis of the gallbladder, (lesion/tumors of the lining/wall of unknown origin ) this is uncommon and is usually only found by accident, it seems it is asymptomatic but mine however became systematic .. It was however a suspenseful visit, he made me wait while he ran down all my recent tests before he told me anything except my problem was not common.. I am not sure what he was looking to find within those results but I am sure you guys can guess what I was thinking. Once he returned he stated your liver and pancreas appear to be fine, so we do not need anymore tests to determine our next move.. He tells me, that since they do not know the long term effects of this it does have to come out asap though, which will be later next week. He also stated he thinks I may be having other problems besides this and wants to see what is left after surgery to determine our next move.. What really bites is he does not guarantee once it's removed that my symptoms will improve.. He does however lean towards the more positive side just won't guarantee it. As if anything in life is guaranteed huh ?? Funny thing isn't it guys , all the stuff they are finding wrong with me or uncommon or hard to diagnose... Let's just hope once he gets in there he doesn't find anything else. LL

Doctors aren't any different than car mechanics. They have a good idea but never promise anything. (Just don't go to a car mechanic for a second opinoion) If you need anything, don't hesistate to ask. I be thinking about'ya.

Hi "loves...", The positive sides of this are: 1. It will most likely be done via the small incisions for the scope and the instruments. That's the most common way of doing it these days. It's pretty rare to have to do the "major surgical procedure" anymore. 2. Doctors in general will always "cover their ass" by stating all the possibilities that are out there if there are more issues indicated. So when he "leans toward the positive side" it's because he is pretty damn comfortable that this is the fix. If he were truly worried that there are other things going on he would be addressing them up front for many reasons; among those are his hippocratic oath, his reputation, lawsuits, etc., etc., etc. So with all that said, stay totally positive young lady because from what I read in your post I see nothing but positive indicators that the surgery is the fix. That's my read of it. Best of luck! You'll be in our thoughts.

Hi Loves! Sorry I didn't get by here sooner.....took my daddy back to dr. in Pueblo and all is going good so far....we go back in 3 weeks and plan for another eye surgery..... Well I am relieved that they found something but sooooo sorry that you'll need surgery!!! I'll continue keeping you in my prayers, Honey and in my heart!!! I'm glad your liver and pancreas seem to be fine~ and no more tests on that!!! Bless your heart, I can only imagine how nerve racking that had to be for you!!! My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you as I know I would have been a bundle of nerves too!!!! Take care Dear Heart and know that I've got ya in my heart and sending you much love and many hugs and kisses!!! Sometimes we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Hi Mz yeah he told me no more than an hour and a half though he did mention sometimes they have to do it the old fashioned way. but he felt he should be able to do it that away. naw I feel comfortable with what he wants to do, right now getting it out is a priority and when I go back to see him in a couple of weeks if my symptoms continue we'll do the necessary tests. I hope it's only a week, my kids don't do so good without me running things.. routines ya know. my back will of course act up, but hell I've been through worse It would be nice to have ya there,a friendly face to see not even gonna think about those tests, well that's what I say today

I believe he will take a look see if possible but none of my blood work or ultra sounds showed concern with those, but I do plan on asking him about it. thanks for the well wishes and prayers I hope it helps me too. Surgery does stink. I'm sorry to hear you you've had so many. Bless ya hun
