Raging tent pole

holding cover high above my head, last night, what a fight, what a struggle, had to almost strangle the thing to get it to calm down but calm down it did, lowered itself, lowered the cover until it was on the same plane as my body, hiding my from the night, burying me in the crunchy pine needle blanket covering the forest floor.
